The Access to Work programme is a publicly funded employment support programme that aims to help individuals with a disability or long term health condition (physical or mental) to start or stay in work. The individual must be 16 or over and live in England.

Health 2 Employment will provide an initial assessment from a qualified Occupational Health Practitioners that has a good understanding of the breadth of disability issues. The practitioner will identify appropriate support options available to address the individuals’ needs and workplace barriers.

The practitioner will continue to work closely with individuals to find work which is most suitable for them; focusing on what they can do, rather than what they can’t. They focus on exploring ways of making the transition into work easier, whether this be through referrals, medical support, reduced hours or specialist equipment once in work
