The story in full:

The launch of i2i’s new company Health 2 Employment has been well received within the industry as the company expands to meet demand.

H2E was launched in November 2015 and focuses on providing health and wellbeing support for both unemployed and employed people.

Just three-months-old, the company is already making waves across the sector – with a wide range of organisations showing interest in how the service could benefit both their staff and customers.

H2E is already working closely with Serco to offer health advice and support to customers within its supply chain.

Head of Performance at Serco Welfare Services Paul Hughes said: “With so many people on the Work Programme experiencing health-related difficulties, it’s critical that the employment support we provide to these jobseekers encompasses healthcare advice and guidance.

“Serco is pleased to support the Occupational Health service which Health 2 Employment have developed, as it is already benefitting numerous organisations in our supply chain and helping them to better support individuals into work.”

i2i’s Group Managing Director Natalie Keating said: “It’s been a very busy couple of months, but we fully expected that as we know how much demand there is for a specialist health support service.

“We’ve seen first-hand the benefits that this service has had on our own customers and we’ve also witnessed the increasing demand for this level of support across the industry.

“We’ve had lots of interest from right across the board. Prime contractors, providers, local authorities, skills providers and employers have all been in touch to discuss ways in which our service can benefit them. We’re very much looking forward to being able to announce some of our exciting new partnerships next month.”

i2i’s qualified Health Practitioners carry out in-depth health and employability assessments, making recommendations and adaptations aimed at helping customers either get back into work or to stay in work.

The Practitioners work closely with customers to find solutions that are most suitable for them; focusing on what they can do, rather than what they can’t.

i2i’s Performance Director Diane Barrow explained: “There really is no end to the amount of people we can help. We’re not just working with unemployed people and the service we offer doesn’t end when a person gets into work.

“We’re looking to play a key role in employers retaining staff and this has been reflected in the sheer number of enquiries we’ve had from a variety of companies.”

“Our qualified Health Practitioners work closely with employees to explore what support is available in their circumstances – whether this be through specialist equipment or adaptations, managing of medication, condition management or one-to-one mentoring.”

More exciting news about Health 2 Employment will be released next month. In the meantime, if you would like more information on Health 2 Employment, please contact Diane Barrow, Director of Health 2 Employment on 07824 816666.

Here is a snapshot of some of the feedback we have received:

*One Welfare to Work Adviser said: “The OHP support has been very useful and is definitely helping our customers to better understand their health concerns and take positive action in their lives. The assessments that the Practitioners do with each customer are very detailed and the feedback from customers is always positive. I find their action plans very useful as they give me a clear and definite plan to follow in order to help our customers to move forward.”

*One Welfare to Work Manager added: “As a Centre Manager I find the OHP Service a powerful tool for caseload management, and progression towards the labour market. Having worked with OHPs for several years, the referral service which is in place is a fabulous mechanism which works seamlessly. Feedback from clients has been positive and we are able to communicate freely with the team through action plans, email conversations and telephone
