Workshops take place at i2i Cannock for both i2i staff and customers.

The story in full:

It’s day two of Mental Health Awareness Week and lots more activities have been taking place across our centres.

Today at i2i Cannock, staff enjoyed a visit from South Staffordshire Network for Mental Health (SSNMH) who ran a workshop, which gave an overview of mental health and what it often means for people who are struggling to find work.

The team then ran a two hour workshop for customers – where a simple ball game demonstrated the many different things that people juggle in their everyday lives, and the impact it can have when a ball is dropped.

i2i Cannock Centre Manager Deborah Gray said: “It’s been a very useful day for both staff and customers and the information given to us by SSNMH has been very powerful. It’s certainly given us all a lot to think about.”

SSNMH is an independent charity, which promotes and develops mental health services throughout the six districts and borough of South Staffordshire.

The charity's mission is to improve the quality of life for individuals in South Staffordshire, who have personal experience of mental distress by enabling user involvement, active representation, and a campaigning voice.
