The story in full:
Chris plans on smashing the record on Sunday April 29th, at the KCOM Craven Park Hull, during the Hull KR clash against Super League Champions, Leeds Rhinos. His record attempt is to be staged prior to the 3pm kick-off, and hopes that all fans and i2i staff will get behind him.
Every penny raised from the record will go towards Viking FM’s Cash for Kids Campaign in East Yorkshire and Northern Lincolnshire. The charity aims at making a real difference to the lives of local children and young people.
Wanting to do something a bit out of the ordinary Chris said, “Some people, when they turn 50, as I’m about to, decide they want to leap out of planes or get an unusual tattoo. But I’ve always wanted to enter the Guinness World Records.”
“I’ve always been known for my ties!” After watching YouTube videos of previous attempts, Chris is considering using a snorkel to breathe during the attempt. “I’d of thought it’s going to take about 45 minutes to put them all on. But who knows? I haven’t really practiced!”
The charity Dove House has loaned him the ties for the record attempt. To read more about Chris’ attempt and to make a donation, you can use the following link:
