Positive Feedback For Coventry

Date Posted:

Summary:
Deafinitely Independent, based in Leamington Spa, is a provider of residential support and social support to vulnerable, deaf adults who may also have a range of additional disabilities. i2i recently received this feedback from them -

The story in full:

"The courses provided by i2i offered our staff the chance to receive support and guidance from a dedicated team, from the sign up process right through to achievement.

Due to our residents being deaf, we also employ deaf colleagues and staff. This meant that sessions were co-ordinated with the use of sign language interpreters. i2i were committed to supporting the learners and were patient when liaising with interpreting agencies.

Following completion of the courses there has been a noticeable change in staff performance of customer service to their residents and because of this, Deafinitely Independent has gained a number of qualified staff who will continue to grow with the business.

As a personal attendee of this course, it helped me to gain a much better insight into the resident’s service from their perspective, and has enabled me to progress in my position at D.I.

Many thanks for all of your assistance from your lovely team!"

Following the feedback, Jamie Sidaway, Performance and Operations Manager had the following to say:

"It is a business who support people with hearing impairments and due to this a number of their staff have hearing disabilities themselves. We recently delivered Customer Service qualifications to a lot of their staff and one of the cohorts was a group of their employees with hearing impairments. Due to this we co-ordinated with a sign language professional who supported our delivery and got the staff through the qualification alongside our tutor. We delivered this through our SSW contract in Coventry."

Keep up the good work!
