Temploy provide the job specification to i2i for the current vacancy and i2i match their existing clients to our specification, therefore pre-screening the client prior to our interview process. I was unemployed for over 3 years, before coming to i2i. I was introduced to Donna the Account Manager by Arron my job broker, I wanted a cleaning job because that is all I know, I sat with Donna who made lots of calls on my behalf, she contacted a cleaning company she works with and arranged an interview; Donna even took me for the interview because I was so nervous. I had the interview and was offered the job the same day, I was delighted and my partner was really proud of me. I really apreciated the help I received but more importantly the reason I write this feedback is; yesterday the supervisor was really awful with me and I walked out of my job very upset I came to see Donna and Jacky at i2i who put my mind at ease, Donna contacted the Manager who said I was a great worker and didn't want to lose me, so she has put me in a different Hotel starting tomorrow. I was unemployed for two years before I was recommended to i2i in Manchester and was put on the programme. At first I had my doubts because, I was thinking, how can they help me when I have been looking everywhere myself, but to my astonishment, I was very pleased with the work they helped me with. They had their own resourses and contacts in which they had clients who were looking to hire on the spot. I have attended so many interviews and they helped me get there with the help of transport. I am currently employed with Littlewoods and I would like to give a special thanks to Aaron Leece and Jackie for preparing me for the interview and helping me get there with directions, because I had no idea how to get there. The best thing is that I am still getting continuous support and advice from the centre. My first day, my advisor even took the time out to ring me and find out how my day went; one would have thought, since I got a job, they would just forget about me, but its actually the opposite. I am so happy, with the service and can finally move on step by step rebuilding my career. For the time I have been with the centre, I have made a friend with the advisor Aaron, and everyone else was so helpful and friendly, every time I stepped in with my head down, they would help me job search and lift my spirit a little bit, because being unemployed for over a year is no joke and you just get depressed. I would just like to say that i2i in Tameside are the best provider around. All the team as a whole are fantastic and help alot of people in many different ways. I have been to two different providers where I feel they have not helped me in anyway, and since coming to i2i I have recieved 1-2-1 help with interview techniques and the best ways to job search. I have attended the i2i facility in Bury, Lancashire. On my first day I was considerably stressed, and unsure of future plans, however whilst here my attitude towards work and my own abilities have changed for the better. i2i have given me the opportunity to update my cv,learn skills I had otherwise forgotton, team work, interview skills, preparation, different ways of jobsearching. But most of all i2i Bury has helped me into employment within a fortnight! I met my i2i advisor on Friday and he helped me tremendously. I've been out of employment for 5 years now, and frankly the enjoyment of getting back into working has diminished over the years. But as soon as I got to i2i I had a feeling it'd go well. I did my induction and signed and filled out all my paperwork, then a happy gentleman came over and basically gave me the opportunity of a lifetime. I'm now possibly signed up for a retail course on getting a level 1 BTEC qualification, along with my EDI level 1 it'll pan out my CV beautifully.On top of that I already have a chance at getting a job as an Industrial Cleaner, not the greatest job I could've hoped for, but a job nontheless. I've not had this feeling of nervousness in a long time, and frankly, it's scary, but as he said to me "You have to put into it what you want out of it", and I want that job. I've been on 4 different courses, only one of those courses came close to this. If i have anything to say about i2i, it's this: utterly brilliant. My thanks go to this particular gentleman for all the help and the support he gave me, and of course the staff for letting me have this opportunity, as they say, it only knocks once. I am currently at i2i on a work trial and chose to do my placement at i2i Rochdale. I chose this placement because when I was on the i2i course myself I enjoyed it so much that I wanted to come back and help encourage people find employment. Rhian is my mentor and my job is to shadow her throughout the programme. She has been helping me and giving me advice on how to deal with i2i clients. Because of this I am acquiring skills and knowledge that will help me find full time paid employment, hopefully within an environment like this. Michelle Hodge
